I'm always in the mood for excitement, but its always to see if other people are down with my decisions..I said fuck it lets go to the dells, or somewhere you know? I was whatever about the dells because we've already been there, and sarah felt the same way. I suggested it because its closer than ceder point..Since she suggested something new.. I suggested Traverse City, MI.
Been wanting to check that area out too, n it isnt Too Far, even though its prob a little less driving to than cedar point, cedar point would really fuck things up with time since we only had a day for cedar point, might as well save it for a longer weekend, becuz then wed just g2 ohio to stay at a theme park all day n sleep n go home. IF we have a day, might as well go somehwere where we can get alot done in one day to make it worthwhile you feel? Anyway.. nobody bailed out, everyone was excited and DOWN. This made me real excited becuz i never been to this northern peninsula city before! So I rush back to the house, grab all the shit i need to stay there for a night n rushed over to Christian's aunt's pad in glendale heights.. packed our belongings in the civic, put in a new fuse for the car, filled the gas, grabbed the cigarettes, grabbed the coffee, pumped the air,...330 AM...Ready to take a trip to Michigan! The drive wasn't too bad..it was real dark, i was catchin a cold, but it didn't bug me cuz i was going somewhere new, goin somehwere new always excites me no matter how boring a place could seem. Anyway, when we finally touched down it was kind of a bitch cuz we couldnt check into a cheap hotel cuz most hotels were booked up n we had to wait for check outs.. man it was like 10 o clock n we all felt shitty n sleepy, well atleast we got free breakfast at the hotel we were Suppose to stay at but didnt cuz we hadda wait til 1pm or 3pm... GET OUTTA HERE..we needed sleep! The city was gloomy n it looked boring, but this was before we explored, plus we were tired, I was REAL tired, didnt get no nap at all. We finally stopped at a hotel,
Christian took care of the booking, got in, took a 2 hour nap. Woke up, went to go enjoy what Traverse city had to offer..So we wake up we're hungry, we end up getting some food at this place called Poppycock's LOL..in downtown traverse city.
i know the whole cock thing had something to do with someone joking around about eating cock, mustve been johnny if i'm assuming correctly lol..The food was Awesome. We ordered this Pita bread wit hummus, cheese, and salsa dip. shit was fire.. the bread was fuckin good as hell, kinda reminded me of beighnets in new orleans a bit...Monica n i shared a sourdough sandwich, it was good. We left not tipping the waitress good cuz she had a bad attitude, i think she was paranoid that we were playing with her with the bill becuz we asked to get it seperate, im sure it caused some kinda miscommunication, but yeah, bitch shouldn't assume shit, get ur ass a shitty tip! gotta know that if ur a waitress u better be fake if u want a good tip. lol. Anyway.. after we ate.. we explored downtown traverse city.. its pretty nice.. walked out to the water was refreshing..its such a great view.. i mean it wasnt anything extraordinary because ive seen beautiful beaches in cali with giant waves..this was just a settle body of water with a penninsula. it was cool though, something diferent.
Walked around, sight seeing, just chillin and taking it all in. Anyways, I had found a cool place on yelp a few weeks ago just browsing what traverse city had n i suggested we check out Righ Brain Brewery.. n this was definitely my kind of place.. board games, BYOF LOL, didnt have food on us though, chill friendly atmosphere, art work, and BEER! Beer brewed in their backyard! Beer on tap i never had in my life and can only get there in traverse city. I'm glad i got to try most of the beers they had on tap that day..started off with some brown ale which seemed kinda new castle but a bit bolder, but very good. I suggested we split this sampler beer, where they bring u six diff cups of beer out on a sorta circular cup holder thing. The place was chill, we just chatted, ate some good salty popcorn n drank. IF i ever come back there I will definitely come back there.

Dipped outta RBB. I read online earliar that u can buy kegs of beer from them! damnit, soulda brought one back~! oh well. Anyways, after that we did some more chillin at the lake before we dipped out to a restaurant..Christian, johnny, billie, n sarah did their own thing sitting on a swing in front of the lake... me n monica didnt wanna go over ther cuz it said private property, we ended up going following some trail and took some pics.
Anyways..we browsed around some places to eat.. we were gonna hit up another brewery but with a sit down restaurant atmosphere typa spot, but the one i initially wanted to go to--Northpeak, looked pack, i called them n it was a 45 min wait, we didnt have time for that cuz we needed sleep before wed head back to the chi.
Hit up a spot called Mackinaw Brewing CO..GOOD FOOD. monica n i shared some really good fried chicken with some fries..we were actually spose to get mashed potatoes but they ran out! it was pretty busy. I was still in the mood for some more beer. Beer seriously was keeping my moood up cuz i was sick and tired so i wanted to feel good the whole trip as much as i could.. I went with the West Bay IPA. BY FAR, BEST IPA I HAVE TRIED. i really thought nothing could ever top unearthy by southern tier, but man..this one takes the cake. glad i got the opportunity to have it, and it makes it so much more exclusve knowing i can only get it there and it is farrr from home...yes i took a pic of it,
glad i took lots of pics on this trip...memories are important..they get captured in our mind.. but over time.. we really do forget the details. n we gotta remind ourselves how happy we were at that point in time of those captured moments u feel? anyways.. we finish up, monica wants gelatto..i was actually in the mood for some bar hopping typa shit.. but after i had a few scoops of my coconut gelatto..it was the desert for the night. i felt satisfied with the day, n i was ready to sleep. So we end the night early to get our rest at 10pm..since billie had to be at work the next day, hope her friend didnt get so upset with her. Before we went to bed, i was bored and wanted to play a game, i started a story out of my ass, and the next person carries it on, well christian nor did monica want to participate so it was just me n sarah saying some funny random shit that started with a story a bout an indian guy fighting with christians couisin jericho over a bottle of Fiji.
lol...i believe i fell asleep right after that..woke up at what 5 am.. that sleep was MUCH NEEDED! packed up all our shit..it was time to go back home..it was a chilly and foggy this morning but the stars lit up the night beautifully. The scenery was beautiful, Michigan is a state full of trees, but it wasn't a boring scenery, it was refreshingly green. Got back 11am this morning.. What a Weekend. The Spontaneous decisions we choose that lead to the most memorable things in life. I do what I do, Cause I can. N if it weren't for the people I'm with, it would have never happened. Live a little more!
