Cape of Darkness

Darkness shines its cape over this world
The coldness in their hearts grow with age, this darkness has influenced
The people numb selfishly leaking empathy once existed in their heart
Love of an innocent child of all humans grown up and escaped
The darkness shines bright blinding perceptual vision, it takes.
The light no longer in sight, the night at its strongest might
The hole in our hearts slow burn tearing its love apart
We've become walking zombies hunting for external grace
Alcohol, ecstasy, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines
We pick our poison and we temporarily escape
The cold burning heart is filled with purple mechanical love
An artifical substance evaporating after each minute passses
Emotional tears drip a bleeding heart to a point developing a diguise
It rips and burns out whats left of the hole
Unknowingly and discretely it begins to bind
The binding of this poison leaves a memory of its initial pleasure
The memory reminds the zombie of its temporary highs
So blindly walking, the zombie hunts and seeks at its most desperate measure
Without a doubt this bind speaks with a demon's voice of no words
It speaks hunger, thirst, need, want, and traps the soul
Whats left of the soul ingests the poison of its choice
The hole burns colder at a faster rate
its light turns darker, the soul can't escape.
No longer a hole, now hollow.
Hollow drifted into a mist and added to the growth of this darkness cape.
